Clubs , House System , Co - Curricular Activities

CLUBS

The school has many clubs [ Computer Club , English Literary Association , History and Geography Club , Economic Club, Junior Jaycee, Nature Club, Maths Club, Science Club, Interact Club, Philately Club, Health Club, Quiz Club ] that provides facilities for students to develop their skills in activities other than academic. Every student is expected to become member of at least two clubs.

HOUSE SYSTEM

In order to inculcate among the students the sense of belonging, the art of competitiveness and the spirit of team work, a new activity oriented system called "House System" has been introduced for first time in the school.

All the students of the school have been grouped into four Houses named Blue, Green, Red and yellow. In each House there is a Captain and a Vice-captain elected from among the House Leaders of each section. Each House is put under the charge of a teacher called House master. The functioning of the Houses is monitored by the Chief coordinators.

Under the House systems the first three winner of any competition conducted within the school, will fetch 15, 10 and 5 points respectively for this houses. For team events it will be 30,20 and 10. The activities considered for awarding points include regularity in attendance and school work, ranks in Terminal Examinations and Academic Excellence Examination, handwriting, grammar test, General Knowledge Tests , Mass Drill, Value Education, Quiz competitions, Sports and Games, Kalothsav Competition, School Exhibition, Collection for charitable causes, best all rounder and any other officially conducted activity of the school. Points will be deducted for default in matters of punctuality, uniform, official language of the school, school property, relationship with fellow students and teachers, code of examinations and any other instance of indiscipline.

Each house will get a bonus point at the beginning of the year which can be enhanced or depreciated depending upon the performance of the House. The best house will get an award at the end of the year.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Every Student during his stay in school should undergo training in either N.C.C or Scouts

a) N.C.C

Through N.C.C ( Army and Air Wing) the school imparts basic discipline and instills in the young minds patriotic feelings. It offers opportunity for a Career in the Army and Air Force. ( Compulsory for student of VIII & IX).

b) JRC.

Junior Red Cross, gives training in First Aid, Clean Environment etc..

c) N.S.S

N.S.S tries to make the students aware of the dignity of labour and give enough opportunity to its member to move with the public. The members are encouraged to believe in the concept "Not me but you"
d) Green Movement.

Promotes environment friendly activities
f) Red Ribbon Club

Makes awareness on AIDS

PARTICIPATION IN GAMES AND SPORTS

1. Every pupils must take in school games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the principal.

2. Attendance at official school functions like sport's day, Independence day, School Annual day, Kalothsav, etc., is compulsory. Absentees may be fined or penalized.
